Honoring Those Who Gave Everything
Dedicated to law enforcement officers and firefighters across Michigan who gave their lives in the line of duty.
Our Mission
The Michigan Fallen Heroes Memorial exists to honor, preserve, and forever remember the brave law enforcement officers and firefighters from across the State of Michigan who gave their lives in the line of duty.

The Memorial
Located in Pontiac, Michigan, on Oakland County’s campus, the Michigan Fallen Heroes Memorial stands as a permanent tribute to the law enforcement officers and firefighters who gave their lives in the line of duty. A bronze statue and granite wall bearing more than 900 names serve as a lasting reminder of their courage and sacrifice.
Find a Name
To locate a name, you may search below by entering one of the following categories: Last Name, City of Service, Agency, or Year of Death. More than 900 names of Michigan’s fallen firefighters and law enforcement officers are etched on the ten granite tablets that make up the Memorial Wall. Fallen Heroes’ names are listed in chronological order by year, from left to right. The first fallen hero dates back to 1864. Historical names are added as we are made aware of them, and those are added annually so may not appear in the correct chronological order, but they are searchable by the same criteria.
