NOTES:

“Went to the memorial today. This is the 57th anniversary of his death. Thank you for such a beautiful place to go pay respects. I’ve been to DC and Lansing as well. This one made me feel comfortable. So sad to see all the names of people I have known that have gone too soon. Again, thank you.”

Fifty years have past. There isn’t a day I don’t think of you 100 times. My husband and son took after you. With the violence it scares me. It’s like I answered the door as a 14 year old girl to hear the worst thing in my life every time an officer is killed. The pain floods back in when I know how a family feels. It will never go away dad. But one day we will be together and you can help me understand why we had to go through that ugliness Please watch over us and our family in Blue.
