“Jesse was an uncle that I never knew. I was born in 1946. He was killed 11/24/1946 from what was then called friendly fire. Most recently Royal Oak named their first canine police dog in his honor. Uncle Jesse was the first on duty police officer killed in the city of Royal Oak.”
